**Dispatcher**


**Waste Connections of Canada** , the leader in non-hazardous solid waste management in North America is looking for an **experienced** Dispatcher to join our team in Windsor, ON. We are looking for an innovative, creative and proactive team player capable of creating and driving change.


**Position Summary:**


This dispatcher is responsible for getting everyone out for the day and doing all start up tasks. In this position you will be communicating with drivers while they are on routes to help resolve any issues that arise. You will also be required to update and maintain multiple spreadsheets, documents and data bases along with dispatching and communicating with our customer service department. This is a very fast paced, multi-tasking position that requires excellent communication and computer skills.


**Shift:** This is a **Monday to Saturday shift from 11 am-8 pm position.** Hours may vary. Subject to change.


**Main Accountabilities:**


+ Scheduling and dispatching work to various drivers throughout the work-day.

+ Analyzing and resolving customer inquiries for missed pick-ups, misplaced containers, and property damages.

+ Assisting driver(s) when a pickup or delivery is in question before servicing.

+ Monitors overtime, scheduling, routing, work assignments and daily improvement plans in order to maintain efficient operations.

+ Processes and analyzes productivity statistics for the district.

+ Enters data into various systems accurately and efficiently. Receives and reviews customer complaints regarding collection programs.

+ Participates in and helps lead safety meetings and audits.

+ Assists with management of supplies, equipment, services ordering and inventory control.

+ Others duties as assigned.


**Requirements:**


+ Available to work Monday to Friday from 5 am to 2 pm

+ Experience doing dispatch in the waste or logistics industry preferred.

+ Knowledge of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office Suites.

+ Excellent organizational skills.

+ Excellent communication skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and demands.

+ Ability to follow instructions and work with minimum supervision.
