Housekeeping Inspector - ResortQuest Whistler
**Position Overview**
+ Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager, Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper, the Room Inspector is responsible for ensuring guest rooms are clean and maintained and ready for our Guest and Owners
+ Perform daily departure clean inspections; report all deficiencies to cleaning staff.
+ Perform arrival or site tour inspections as required.
+ Liaise with Front Desk and Owner Relations throughout the day to ensure rooms are ready in line with arrivals.
+ Prepare housekeeping open paperwork and room assignments for staff.
+ Check unoccupied units for proper thermostat settings, correct inventory stock, etc.
+ Record and report all maintenance issues found during inspections promptly.
+ Ensure all entry doors are closed and locked, look for any unauthorized room usage.
+ Ensure all keys are accounted for and returned to a lock box at the end of the day.
+ Communicate with the Housekeeping Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Guest Service Managers or Director of Hotel Operations to ensure timely and proper status of units.
+ 'Close' the department for the day and update all room status'.
Other duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager or Executive Housekeeper.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Ability to retain focus is fast paced and at times stressful environment.
+ Personable with a positive and friendly attitude.
+ Computer proficient.
+ Must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays.
+ Previous cleaning experience required.
+ Must be fluent in spoken and written English, additional languages are an asset.
