## Position Profile
**Position Summary:**
This position requires a person who understands cost accounting, manufacturing, the systems that support manufacturing, and the difficulties associated with measuring a manufacturing environment. Role requires a person that is flexible, intuitive, insightful, and willing to roll up their sleeves and dig into any function. Data integrity, character, moxie, and a customer service mindset are an absolute must. Key areas of responsibility are Fixed Asset Control, Cost Containment, Inventory Management, and Supporting the Business by providing reports and analysis upon request for Key Performance Indicators, Continuous Improvement/Six Sigma Control & Reporting and Variances.
This role would have one direct report and support a large multi shift manufacturing facility with approximately 700-800 employees.
* Overall management of the financial responsibility over the operation
* Prepare and analyze monthly financial package and conduct financial review with management
* Track and report key performance metrics for the operation including daily report cards
* Develop annual operational budgets and monthly forecasts with plant management
* Maintain inventory control and provide analysis of trends in inventory changes
* Manage annual physical inventory process and administration
* Analyze plant incentive bonus progress/funding and lead periodic reviews of targets
* Identify cost-reducing opportunities for continuous improvement
* Assist in waste management and reporting
* Ensure effective systems and controls are in place within the operations
* Oversee capital expenditure request process and submission
* Conduct fixed asset audits and post completion audits of major capital expenditures
* Review and approve requisitions and purchase orders for the facility
* Train and support direct reports through career development
**Knowledge Skills & Experience:**
* Strong Excel/MS Office skills
* Strong data extraction skills (AS/400 Query helpful)
* Some travel required
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Proactive/self motivated
* Willingness to be involved in decision-making with strong leadership skills
* Multi-task management
* 3+ years accounting experience in manufacturing environment
* BS Degree in Accounting Management Finance or related field
